Our Golden Rules
At Little Villagers we support the children with their Personal, Social and Emotional Development & Communication and Language Development. We do this by developing their skills in Self Regulation, Managing Self, Building Relationships, Speaking, Listening and Understanding. Along with their Physical Skills, these are called the Prime Areas of Learning.
Visual support benefits young children hugely, in supporting their understanding.
In our classrooms, we have our Golden Rules displayed for the teachers and children to refer to and discuss each day.
Our Golden Rules are:
Good listening (using our listening ears)
Walking indoors (using our walking feet - we save our running feet for outside)
Good sitting (for carpet time)
Good Looking (looking at the teacher/adult or peer when they are talking)
Indoor voices (we save our bigger voices for outdoors)
Taking turns (In play and conversation)
Good tidying
Kind words
Kind hands and feet
